Llangyniew Community Council
Welcome to Llangyniew
Llangyniew is a rural settlement and Pontrobert is a small village in Montgomeryshire, Powys, mid Wales. It is located on a hill inside a bend in the River Banwy. The community includes the village of Pontrobert.
The focus of the hamlet is the Parish Church of St. Cynyw, which dates from between 1450 and 1500 and is a Grade II* listed building.
Llangyniew Community Council is a council actively involved in the community offering support, advice and help where it is needed.The Community Council covers Llangyniew and Pontrobert with a population of approximately 580 registered voters (as at April 2023).
